Dear Church,

There are a few things that I want to mention in my weekly letter to you and they all begin with thanksgiving.

  1. Thank you for being such a wonderful host this week for Ryan Heritage and his family. He and his entire crew felt welcomed and embraced from the moment they stepped foot on our campus. I am thrilled to let you know that he was unanimously approved to become the new Minister of Music at the First Baptist Church of Augusta. While his family is moving to Augusta later this week, Ryan will begin his service with us on September 1, 2019.
  2. Thank you to the amazing volunteers who showed up on Sunday ready to learn about Children’s Worship. Your time and energy are essential to making sure that every child on our campus has an amazing experience on Sunday morning. I am so excited to launch our Children’s Worship experience during the 8:30 and 11:00 services on August 11. Parents, if you need to know more about what Children’s Worship will look like, please contact Melissa Willis at the church office.
  3. Thank you for showing up this summer! While most communities experience a less than stellar attendance and giving record in June and July, our church has been filled with worship services that are full of energy and financials that are very solid for the summer months. I can’t wait to see how wonderful the fall and winter will be at FBC.

We begin our Wednesday night programming next week, listed in the Interpreter you can learn about what options you have for studies this fall. I hope you will find a class that interests you and plug in from week one. I look forward to seeing everyone back in the Fellowship Hall next week!

Grace and Peace,

Will
