Lent – The Christian season of Lent is a journey to the cross. There we hear the words of Jesus, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” We all need forgiveness; we all need to forgive. It is how Jesus taught us to pray. “Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.” Forgiveness is like a coin with two sides on it. We receive forgiveness from God – we give forgiveness to others. The first two Sundays of this Lenten season we will explore these two dimensions of forgiveness.
