Days trips and some overnight trips are planned throughout the year and there is a monthly luncheon the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Our Senior Adult Choir meets on Thursdays @ 10:00am in the choir room, 3rd floor Administrative Building. Upcoming Trips

gibbs-gardensGibbs Gardens, Friday, March 24th –  Gibbs Gardens, less than an hour from Atlanta, is nestled in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains. The Gibbs family developed more than 220 acres of gardens. This 300-acre estate, now open to the public, has a 25-year-old manor house that overlooks the mountains and gardens. Enjoy the serenity of nature and stroll along the streams with many waterfalls or around the water gardens with 22 reflecting ponds. Refresh yourself with the beauty and fragrance of thousands of plants, flowers, and millions of bulbs that provide a wide array of color, shape and texture for the 16 garden venues. The grounds include Japanese Gardens, the largest in the nation; Water Lily Gardens, the nation’s largest display of 140 varieties in a natural environment; 20 million Daffodils; and Manor House Gardens with seven flowering terraces covering 150 feet change of elevation from the Manor House to the Valley Gardens Cost $70 includes transportation (by van), entrance to the gardens and tram tickets and the Seafood Buffet at the Blue Willow Inn.

eagleGeorgia Southern Center for Wildlife Education, Saturday,  April 22nd  – the Center for Wildlife Education has grown into one of the leading environmental education facilities in Georgia. At over 17 acres in size, the Center supports Georgia Southern University’s environmental education programs. The mission of the Center is to provide wildlife encounters for the school children and citizens of this region, successfully measured by the over 17,500 children and adults educated on-site annually. The center is home to 2 bald eagles and 1 golden eagle, hawks, owls and falcons. Lunch will be at The Beaver House. The Beaver House offers a unique boarding house restaurant experience. The family style restaurant was modeled after Mrs. Wilkes restaurant in Savannah, Ga. and is actually one of the few remaining boarding house style restaurants in the state of Ga. Cost $45 includes transportation (by van), lunch and entrance to the Wildlife Center.

Senior Adult Lunches


Our next Senior Adult Luncheon is Tuesday, March 14. The Senior Adult Lunch starts at at 11:00 am in the Fellowship Hall and begins with a special guest followed by the lunch. Cost of the Luncheon is $8.
