I have some excellent news to share with you. As many of you know, we voted in our last Church Conference to make significant upgrades to our television ministry. All of our cameras are being replaced in the Sanctuary, and for the first time in our history, we will have cameras available so that we can showcase our Contemporary service. We are also moving to a new time and a new channel, 9:00 am on WAGT (NBC). It is with great excitement that I announce our new broadcast will begin on June 3, 2018. For much of our storied history, FBC has been on the cutting edge when thinking about how to harness the power of technology so people can hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. I am proud that we continue to set the bar high as we move into the future that God has in store for us.

In order for our new equipment to be installed, our old equipment has to be removed. That process is now fully underway and we hope to have it completed in the near future. On a very practical level, this means that for the next six weeks we will not be able to televise a live broadcast. Instead, if you tune in to Fox Bounce, you will see a series that I preached in the Fall of last year, This is Us. I chose this series because it lays out for viewers the core values that we have at the First Baptist Church. I hope you will enjoy this refresher over the next six weeks. For those of you that want to follow our current sermon series, Community Is, we are making every effort to have these sermons available online by Monday morning of the following week. Your patience as we finish up these improvements is
appreciated more than this column can express.

This is an exciting time to be at the First Baptist Church. I am so grateful to be your pastor.

Grace and Peace, Will
