‘For the Lord is good, His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations’      Psalm 100:5
May we prove our faithfulness by loving, serving and giving

This is it! 2017 brings our 200th Anniversary Celebration! It will be a year of remembering, learning more about our church and celebrating God’s faithfulness to FBC Augusta. There will be special activities all year, but there are four events that you will want to put on your 2017 calendar right away:

Wednesday, March 22 –  Family Bible Study, “Sharing Your Faith” – Come be a part of our special Family Bible Study this Wednesday evening, March 22nd.  Dr. Jeffrey Willetts, Dean of the McAfee School of Theology, will be leading the adults in the Chapel.  A seminary student, Cody Carpenter, will be with the Youth.  Children will be in their Wednesday night classroom with their teachers exploring this topic.  We hope you will come and be a part of the Family Bible Study.  It should provide a great opportunity for family conversation.

Sunday, March 26th – Celebrating families with 4th and 5th generations in the 11:00 Traditional service

Homecoming Celebration on August 20 – This will be our big celebration. We will invite former ministers and staff. If you have children who grew up in this church, please invite them to come. There will be a combined worship service at 11 AM and a wonderful old fashion ‘Dinner on the Grounds.’ There will be special activities for children and a 200-count balloon launch.

Women’s Luncheon on Saturday, September 9 – This luncheon will celebrate those women who led the way for other women to be a part of the leadership of FBC Augusta.

Our Grand Finale the evening of December 3 – We will welcome David Phelps for a special concert in our Sanctuary. After church church members have secured tickets, it will be open to the community.
It is going to be an exciting year in the life of our church. How blessed are we to serve in a church that God has blessed for 200 years!
