Building News

After crossing the Jordan into the promised land, God commanded Joshua to build an altar of twelve stones (one for each tribe). These stones were to become a memorial forever. When children ask, “What mean these stones?”, the people would reply that the stones represent the promise of God. The same God who raised them out of bondage and allowed them to walk across the torrent on dry land, is with them still - and is with us.
As we embark on a building campaign we realize that the stones of our buildings are not our’s, but God’s. They can only be used in service to him - a memorial to represent his promises. But the call of God goes beyond mere brick and mortar, and we also realize that we are the stones of God. Markers to represent His promise. So we are not content to build on campus alone. We follow God into the community, to rebuild homes in disrepair. In this way we leave markers of God’s promise across our community.
Building On Campus
We are in the middle of a building campaign to build a new fellowship hall and chapel, plus build a new contemporary worship stage addition on the activities building. Click here to view the slide show. This has disrupted a portion of our parking lot, please click here for details. |
Rebuilding the Community
Nehemiah Challenge: In an effort to reach out and serve our community we have connected with the Augusta city government. They have helped direct us to homes that need repair in the area and we have begun to get our hands dirty with service! |
